This was my second trip to the MOM orphanage. I visited in June of 2006 with the Zoya team and was completely overwhelmed not just by the great needs of the kids but also by the love and joy that they showed. We often take a hug for granted, knowing that the hug of a loved one is usually no further that an arms length away. Here were a group of kids with so much love to share that they yearned to hug and be hugged. As in our first trip to MOM, we provided medications, clothes and food for these children, but the thing that will last in their minds is the love and the hugs we shared.

On my last night there in 2006, one of the children held onto my legs and with tears in his eyes asked me to return. By the grace of God, I was able to keep that promise.
