Sunday
Sunday is a smart young man who has dreams of becoming a veterinarian some day. Even though he lives in an environment that we consider poverty, he still has dreams and aspirations of achieving his goals and becoming successful! His handicap does not slow him down one bit! He suffers from a childhood disease that affected his legs. Sunday moves around like he doesn't know the difference and his constant smile reminds one that his happiness comes from within! Sunday has lived in the orphanage for most of his life and does have contact with some of his family members. He is attending secondary school and hopes to go on to college but needs financial assistance in making this dream come true. He deserves every opportunity to have a fulfilled life and I know that God will bless this young man that has a servants heart. He is extremely intelligent and speaks English very well. Sunday loves music and was overjoyed when he received his bright pink crocs! A boy with a sense of humor and a dream...........
Comfort
Comfort is a lovely young woman who works diligently at the orphanage in assisting Crystal, the on-site missionary. She helps with all aspects of daily life at the orphanage and there isn't one child there that doesn't
know and love her. Her family lives in the nearby village and she helps support them with the money that she makes. Comfort's father is ill and she helps to see that he gets the care that he needs. Comfort has the same desires as most young women and she looks forward to the day when God brings that special someone into her life! She is intelligent and would like to pursue a career in nursing and would like to study in the United States.
She has a heart for the Lord and has a lovely singing voice that blesses all that hear. Comfort is truly a blessing and deserves all that her heart desires.
Kirk
Kirk was two days old when I first held him in my arms! A gorgeous baby boy who's mother had died in childbirth and been left in the care of Daniel and Esther. I watched this beautiful abandoned boy slowly come to life during the days that we were at the orphanage. Kirk spent a lot of time in our room and I watched him grow accustom to the sounds of our voices, to the sense of touch and the persistent need of the bottle!
Even though he didn't have the love of his mother, he felt the love of the ones that held him and he thrived because of it. It is my hope, and prayer that someone will find a place in their heart and in their home for this special bundle of love sent from heaven by our precious Lord.
