We were all surprised one afternoon when 4 men from a Nigerian government intelligence agency showed up to investigate what the team from Zoya Ministries was doing in Otutulu village. Apparently the US DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) called the Nigerian government to inform them that there was a group of 50 Americans traveling to their county with a large quantity of drugs claiming to set up a medical clinic but were doing so in a village that they could not be found on any map. These men spent a few hours interviewing members of the Zoya Executive board, the management and some of the residents of MOM, the villagers waiting to be seen at the clinic, as well as they inspected the clinic and the operation of the orphanage. They were so moved by what God was doing that when they left they commented that they had come with the intention of arresting someone, but left wanting to know how they could help.
To God be the Glory.
